    Kristin Reavis, MD '09

    Kristin Reavis, MD ’09

    May 2020

    Dr. Reavis is an assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM).

    A UMSOM alumnus, she completed her residency in family medicine at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Since joining UMSOM in 2013, she has made advocating for the under-represented a top priority.

    Dr. Reavis leads efforts within UMSOM’s Office of Student Affairs to develop, coordinate, and evaluate diversity and inclusion initiatives, with a goal of achieving inclusive excellence for all of the school’s students.

    She also serves as co-faculty advisor to the school’s Student Diversity Council. In addition, she provides support and guidance to medical students dealing with experiences of exclusion and coordinates with course directors to strengthen diversity and inclusive content within UMSOM’s
