2021 MLK Diversity Recognition Award Winners

UMB’s Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Recognition Awards are presented for individual and/or group achievements in the areas of diversity equity, and inclusion.

The Diversity Advisory Council has named the 2021 winners, who will be honored at UMB’s Black History Month celebration on Feb. 4 featuring keynote speaker Anthony K. Wutoh, PhD ’96, BSP ’90, RPh, the provost and chief academic officer at Howard University and a University of Maryland School of Pharmacy alumnus.

The MLK Award winners serve as models of the ideals epitomized by the life and work of Dr. King.

Sandra M. Quezada, MD, MS, of the School of Medicine will receive the Outstanding UMB Faculty Award as part of the University’s Black History Month celebration Feb. 4.
