Academic writing is a process of many revisions. Our programs help students experience a constructive analysis of their work by enhancing strengths and improving weaknesses.
The mission of the Writing Center is to help writers at UMB build their confidence as writers. Our consultations are centered around a conversation with writers about their work, and we offer constructive feedback on how to revise their work. As part of that conversation, we will offer editing and proofreading feedback but will predominantly focus on overall readability and clarity of the writer's text.
