If your current writing projects leave you feeling overwhelmed, a writing community could help you feel motivated! The UMB Writing Center offers a Writing Accountability Group (WAG) to support writers with:
- Carving out dedicated time in your schedule to write.
- Sharing interprofessional resources.
- Articulating your research in a friendly forum.
The WAG is designed to provide all of the above, twice per week on Zoom.
Within the WAG, interprofessional peers develop a shared language around writing. During each two-hour WAG session, writers check in with each other and share intentions. For most of the two (2) hours, we’re writing. Writing specialists are available to offer support and direct writers to resources.
Register to participate in a WAG.
Virtual Writing Accountability Group
Are you looking for an encouraging human community to support your work but can't meet in person? Join the Writing Center Virtual WAG!
The Virtual WAG is an informed and supportive writers' collective of UMB student, faculty, staff, and post-doctoral scholar writers who gather in a virtual space (via Zoom) to make progress on their fall writing project(s).
Facilitated by writing expert and associate director of the Writing Center, James Wright, each session provides curated and dedicated time for writing. Mr. Wright is also available for one-to-one writing consultation during each session.
Sessions are held every Wednesday from 12-2 p.m. via Zoom. Writers can join and leave at any time during the two-hour session. Sign up and we'll send you calendar invitations and reminders.
