Annual Impact Reports

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) has come a long way since its commitment to reach carbon neutrality back in 2008. UMB's Office of Sustainability is tracking the University's progress to its Second Nature Climate Commitment and the UMB Sustainability Strategic Plan that was established in February 2022. The Office of Sustainability will publish reports yearly to highlight the University's campus sustainability efforts each fiscal year.

Greenhouse Gas Inventories

UMB's Sustainability Strategic Plan supports our goal of reaching carbon neutrality, a goal that was established through UMB's signing of Second Nature's Climate Commitment. Resilience Assessment

In 2022, UMB's Resilience Working Group drafted a Resilience Assessment as part of the Second Nature Climate Commitment. The assessment was submitted to Second Nature as part of its reporting efforts. The resilience indicators in the assessment will serve as metrics for future reporting.
