Glenn Canares is a pediatric dentist, educator, and professional speaker. He is a clinical associate professor and the pediatric dentistry residency program director at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry as well as a wellness ambassador for the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Canares’ leadership experiences came with a focus on the head while ignoring the heart but he is on a mission to change that. He thinks that great leadership should include the whole person because the way we approach leadership is the way the professionals of tomorrow will approach their clients and patients. He speaks about how kindness boosts learning, resilience, and performance, using neuroscience, real stories, and small, practical behaviors.
