Policy Statement

It is the policy of the University of Maryland, Baltimore for each school/ academic unit to provide effective and efficient academic advising for all students. Academic advising is a necessary part of a student's education. Each academic unit must ensure that appropriate mechanisms are employed so that students are informed about the availability of academic advising and are encouraged to seek advice and counsel in all aspects of their educational program.
