Michaiah Hughes, PA-C
I graduated from George Washington University's Physician Assistant program and have been a critical care physician assistant for nearly five years, with emphasis in trauma and surgical critical care. Currently I work full-time at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and PRN at Shock Trauma and Cooper University Hospital. I have precepted students and new hires, given lectures to APP fellows, and assisted with hands-on labs for PA students at UMB. I also co-authored a Trauma Surgery chapter for Fundamentals of Surgery for Physician Assistants (publication in progress).
Why the PALLA Fellowship:
My experience as a PA has been deeply impacted by my preceptors and I am eager to pass along the knowledge they've shared. I am joining the Preceptor Fellowship to learn evidence-based methods of training and empowering each unique student.
