Beth Boehme, PA-C
I attended Appalachian State University, graduating with a BA in Psychology in 2003. For many years I worked in outdoor experiential education/environmental education/ outdoor adventure settings and my first MS degree was from Virginia Tech (Forestry with a focus in stream ecology, 2013). I realized quickly I placed into a research heavy field and was lacking the human interaction and teaching I loved. I became a PA in 2018 through Jefferson College of Health Sciences, which is now part of Radford University. I have worked in primary care, urgent care, a dash of PRN emergency department work, and am currently working in general orthopedics.
Why PALLA?
I am excited to continue my training with PALLA, hoping to refine and further develop my precepting and teaching skillsets. I believe the preceptor fellowship will bolster connections between my interest in PA education and transition to practice/onboarding of PAs.
