Marlene Greenebaum, Cancer Center Co-Founder, Dies at 80

Marlene Greenebaum, who along with husband Stewart co-founded the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, died at 80 in Pikesville on Dec. 23.

"Marlene Greenebaum was one of the most gracious, generous, and endearing friends of the University of Maryland School of Medicine," said University of Maryland School of Medicine Dean E. Albert Reece, MD, PhD, MBA. "She was known and beloved by so many in the SOM community, and will be greatly missed by everyone she touched. She was a courageous patient and heroine to many cancer survivors. Our hearts go out to the Greenebaum family at this time."
