Parents often worry about whether or not they are doing a good job. We know that we can all learn to be parents. Learning about how children develop at each stage of life is essential to matching what you do with what your child needs. Pediatricians, mental health consultants and teachers are great partners and can offer guidance and resources needed for each stage of your child’s development. But learning about what to do is only one part of being a parent. Being with your child and supporting them through loving and responsive and protective relationships is most important thing parents can do to support their children’s mental health and development.
