I had Covid and was 24/7 sharing germs with my 16 month old. She may or may not have had it. I didn't even know I had it until several days after my symptoms started, my husband contracted it, so I tested and sure enough I had it too. Now he is masked and away from us just in case she didn't have it and would now catch it from him. She has had Covid before with very mild symptoms. In fact, when she had it, we had it together but my husband did not get it. If right now we had her tested, and she was positive, he would unmask, but I'm not even sure we can get her tested. Just wondering if he really needs to be masked at home since she was with me all that time while I had it.

It is likely that your 16-month old child was exposed to Covid. I would continue care for your child while masked as much as possible. I would implore husband to share in childcare responsibilities.
