Hi. How long should one wait between regularly scheduled immunization (11yrs old) and the second dose of a covid vaccine? If it's been months between covid vaccines? Is it less effective? With the boosters will that increase efficacy?
Covid vaccination (or receipt of booster doses for Covid) can be received at the same time as your other regularly scheduled vaccines. For an 11 year old the routine vaccines that should be scheduled include: influenza, HPV, meningococcal, tetanus/diphterhia/pertussis vaccines. If the 11 year old has missed any of the routine vaccines, then certain catch-up vaccines would be required.
