I can't seem to find the answer to my question. I called the CDC info line but someone just read off a script and couldn't answer me specific questions. Two of my children tested positive on March 21.I was taking care of them and isolating. I started with symptoms on March 28 and tested positive March 30. I isolated from my third child, my husband and my mother who lives with us until yesterday (April 9). Today (April 10) my third child tested positive. Questions: If I am going to be her sole caretaker do I need to isolate (not sleep in the same room, wear a mask, stay 6 feet apart) from my husband and mom for a set amount of time even though I just finished my quarantine and am technically on day 13 since symptoms started? Could I potentially spread her infection to them? Do my 2 children who tested positive March 21 need to stay away from her?

As the caretaker of a dependent child who has Covid infection, you will be exposed to and by virtue of your frequent and direct contact potentially can transmit the virus to others—e.g., your mother who is presumably an older adult at higher risk of severe disease with infection. Therefore, I suggest that you isolate with your child for 5 days, starting the count of days with the day you first recognized the infection in this third child.
