I'm the parent of a 3-year-old who isn't vaccinated yet. With the holidays approaching, I'm not sure how to handle visiting family. Everyone we would be seeing is fully vaccinated with the exception of my 8-year-old niece, who will hopefully be vaccinated by Thanksgiving. We have been extremely cautious during the pandemic and would hate to let our guard down now and have our daughter get sick. But, I know my family is expecting that we'll gather for the holidays and they will be disappointed if we back out. To complicate things, my elderly mother lives with us and I know she will want to see family, so it seems like a moot point. Any initial suggestions for holiday gatherings?

Enjoy the holiday season with your fully vaccinated family, of course the little ones that are not able to get vaccinated yet will try their best to remained masked and minimize exposures before and throughout the holidays. And, when the children are able to get vaccinated, they will try and get vaccinated.
