Thanks in advance. I tested positive for Covid-19 last Thursday, my wife did not present symptoms until this morning and then also tested positive this morning, my question is how many days from today should I quarantine or what is the CDC guideline on that situation. Thanks again.
You are allowed to resume “normal” activities which wearing a well-fitting mask after 24 hours from your last fever or of feeling that your symptoms are improving. This is part of the updated respiratory virus guidance from CDC. CDC's Updated Respiratory Virus Guidance: What to Do When You Are Sick | NCIRD | CDC

However, I have been instructing people that they should limit their interactions with other people outside the home for at least 5 days from infection. And, some people are known to shed the virus (be able to transmit the virus to others) for a longer time than just 5 days. Therefore, I have been advising that although it is “permissible” it also may not be the best decision. If you are feeling better, you can leave the home but still should wear a mask for up to 10-14 days just in case you could infect other people.
