  • Achieve educational excellence and value ​
  • Advance the careers of faculty and staff educators ​
  • Invigorate our culture to fully embrace the education mission 

LEAPS will achieve these goals by:

1. Developing an environment that inspires, recognizes, and rewards educational scholarship and innovation in all UMB schools, to stimulate the intellectual discourse needed to reimagine professional and graduate student education for the future.

2. Developing and making available resources, such as faculty development programs and mentorship, that will help advance the career path of UMB educators.

3. Creating a local and national reputation in professional and graduate student education and educational leadership.

4. Supporting sourcing of, application to, and competition for extramural funding and producing scholarly work in education.
