Nursing Professor Co-Authors Manuscript in African Journal of Bioethics
Dr. Veronica Njie-Carr, professor at the School of Nursing, co-authored a manuscript in the African Journal of Bioethics titled "Translating and Adapting Bioethical Principles to the African Socio-Cultural Contexts: An Integrative Review."
The authors conducted a rigorous integrative review to develop a Socio-Cultural Research Ethics Model (SCREM) in response to the call for an African bioethics framework to ensure relevance and contextual applicability of ethical principles in African research settings.
In addition, Dr. Njie-Carr was highlighted in the Gambian Excellence Series by Mustapha Njie, president of TAF Africa, a nonprofit organization promoting the rights of persons with disabilities in Africa and around the world.
