SSW Hosts Roundtable Focused on Meaningful Dialogue for Social Workers from the Local to the Global
February 25 at 12:30 pm online
The School of Social Work invites you to attend "Commitment to Community: Insights on Engaging in Meaningful Dialogue Across Difficult Divisions from the Local to the Global" on February 25 at 12:30 pm online. The event is free to attend, but $30 to receive continuing education credits.
Social work centers dialogue as a core professional value and educational mission, yet our field often struggles to live fully into this commitment — especially in today’s polarized environment. This roundtable will examine how social workers sustain connection, hope, and critical reflection while remaining committed to shared work within deeply divided communities.
Speakers include Dr. Jody Olsen, former director of the Peace Corps and a CGE Senior Fellow; Dr. Caroline Harmon-Darrow, Rutgers University School of Social Work; Dr. Joerg Fischer, University of Applied Sciences Erfurt; and Dr. Dassi Postan-Aizik, Yezreel Valley College in Israel's Department of Social Work.
