Provost's Global Scholars Share Their Research and Lessons Learned
Thirteen students participating in the Provost's Global Scholar program presented their research and what they learned from the experience to Provost Dr. Roger Ward on October 28.
Their range of topics spanned the globe, from trauma leagues in Brazil to blue crabs in Italy and from pregnant and parenting students in Ghana to computational malaria research in Malawi.
The Provost's Global Scholar Program provides an opportunity for UMB students to engage in a global health, law, or social work experience of their own choosing and design with the support of a $2,000 stipend for educational expenses related to the proposed experience. Students from all UMB schools are eligible to apply by proposing a research, service, or learning initiative.
Students: Start preparing your applications for the second round of funding for the 2026 Provost's Global Scholar Program, which opens December 15 and closes January 23.
