Read Provost Dr. Roger Ward's Reflections on Internationalization at UMB
Provost Roger Ward wrote a reflection for the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) on UMB’s experience with internationalization.
"Before deciding to participate in ACE’s Internationalization Laboratory, we were already engaged in a number of impactful international partnerships. My objective in participating was not simply to become a globally-focused university—we were already that—but to coordinate and harmonize global education, service, and research efforts across seven distinct schools. This strategy aimed to elevate our global enterprise in alignment with our mission: 'To improve the human condition' or, as I like to say, 'To improve the human condition, globally.'”
