CGE Shares Its Knowledge at Academic Conferences

This fall, CGE staff have been busy presenting at academic conferences and sharing their expertise.

On November 9, Amy Ramirez, Executive Director of Global Learning and International Services at CGE, will be a speaker on Extra Burdens: Difficulty of Health & Wellness for International Postdocs at the virtual National Postdoctoral Association International Equity Summit. Registration is open through November 8.

On October 13, Amy Ramirez and Carlos Faerron Guzmán, Associate Professor of Global Health at the Graduate School and a CGE Senior Fellow, presented Global Learning in Professional Education: UMB Costa Rica Faculty Development Institute at the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) 2023 Conference on Global Learning.

On October 20, Virginia Rowthorn, Assistant Vice President for Global Engagement and Executive Director of CGE, presented at the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (ASTMH) Annual Meeting. Her presentation on Reciprocal Innovation as a Strategy to Democratize Global Health was part of its Committee on Global Health Symposium II's From Concept to Practice: How to Sustainably Democratize/Decolonize Global Health.
