Globalizing Curriculum Featured in Latest Moving the Needle Podcast

The UMB/Costa Rica Faculty Development Institute was featured in the latest episode of the Moving the Needle podcast, which features frank conversations with instructors, learners, leaders, and creators about all things teaching and learning, encouraging listeners to learn from hard-won experiences and let the ideas help them move the needle in their own teaching.

In Globalizing the Curriculum, At Home and Abroad: The Costa Rica Faculty Development Institute (Episode 25), host Erin Hagar spoke with Institute participants about the importance of bringing a globalized perspective into classrooms.

Amy Ramirez, MA, Executive Director of Global Learning and International Services at CGE, and Carlos Faerron Guzmán, MD, MSc, Associate Professor of Global Health, UMB Graduate School, spoke about how UMB faculty are thoughtfully and ethically designing global learning experiences for UMB students across the seven schools.

The episode also spoke with Institute participants Elias Snyder, MS, FNP-C, ACHPN, Director of the Office of Global Health at the School of Nursing, and Eleanor Fleming, DDS, PhD, MPH, FICD,
Assistant Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the School of Dentistry.
