The University of Maryland, Baltimore signed a Memorandum of Understanding between UMB; Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan; and Dogana, the Dow Graduates Association of North America.

Dr. Muhammad Mohuiddin, a graduate of the Dow University of Health Sciences and Professor of Surgery at UM School of Medicine and Director of the Cardiac Xenotransplantation Department, was instrumental in creating this relationship.

The MOU is laying the foundation for a faculty/student exchange.
