The Costa Rica Faculty Development Institute is for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, or staff that seek to develop new or revise existing courses, modules, tracks, or co-curricular programs for students enrolled in UMB or UMD degree programs.

Curriculum Internationalization Grants help fund UMB faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and staff to develop curriculum or co-curricular programs focused on global or international issues for UMB students. Each project can receive up to $4,000, with 5-7 projects funded each year.

The Provost's Global Scholar Program was created to help UMB students engage in a critical analysis of complex, interdependent global systems and legacies and their implications for people's lives and the Earth's sustainability.
The program provides an opportunity for UMB students to engage in a global health, law, or social work experience of their own choosing and design with the support of a $2,000 stipend for educational expenses related to the proposed experience. Students from all UMB schools are eligible to apply by proposing a research, service, or learning initiative.
Through participation in the Provost's Global Scholar Program, students will grow in their understanding of how their actions can address the world’s most pressing and enduring issues collaboratively and equitably.

CGE maintains a list of courses across all seven UMB schools that are focused on global issues or integrate global content. This list is updated regularly as CGE becomes aware of new course offerings.

The Center for Global Engagement launched its Focus on Fulbright Initiative to increase UMB’s student representation in this prestigious international program. CGE hosts webinars and workshops and provides individualized support and feedback for those interested in applying.
