Photo Submission Guidelines and Judging Info
Submission Guidelines
- Each person can submit up to three photographs
- To preserve the integrity of the photo contest, photos may have basic digital enhancements (e.g. cropping, color balance, brightness/contrast, red eye elimination, grayscale, slight focus adjustments, etc.), though any edits that change the photo itself (ex. adding/removing/moving aspects of the photo, drastic color changes, filters, dramatic focus adjustments) are not allowed.
- Photo formats accepted are .jpg, .jpeg, or .png.
- Photos must be in their original digital file (no social media or screenshot photos).
- Photos can be full-color or black and white photographs
- Images must be 1-2 mb in size with dpi 300 or higher (to be enlarged without pixelation).
- Photo submissions must be original work. Professional photos will not be accepted.
- Upload your photo along with:
- Your name, school, degree program, and graduation year (as applicable)
- Title of photo
- Short statement of why your photo represents global engagement to you (50-word limit)
CGE determines eligibility of entries and reserves the right to refuse submissions for any reason. Submitting a photo is an agreement that CGE can use the photo in online and print materials with or without attribution to the photographer.
Judging
CGE staff and CGE Advisory Committee members will choose the winning global photographs, taking audience voting into account.
