Using Duo and Zoom while Traveling Internationally

In certain regions while traveling internationally, UMB faculty, researchers, students, and staff will be unable to use Zoom and Duo applications.

In order to comply with U.S. regulations, Duo and Zoom block access from devices whose source IP address originates from a restricted country or region where sanctions have been enforced by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Currently, these are the restricted countries and regions:

  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • North Korea
  • Syria
  • Ukraine (Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk regions)
UMB travelers attempting to access these services will receive an error message and will be unable to continue.
