Shannon Wilkerson’s career in early childhood education, combined with her personal experience fostering and adopting children, inspired her dedication to supporting families. Her passion for helping others and addressing disparities in underserved communities such as mental health, substance use, homelessness, and food insecurity guides her work. At EMBRACE, Shannon serves as a Family Navigator for kinship care families, providing guidance, resources, and mentorship to help caregivers navigate complex systems and ensure children remain in stable, supportive environments. Her work reflects her commitment to keeping families together, empowering caregivers, and strengthening the communities she serves.
