Dr. Kyla Liggett-Creel grew up witnessing the impact of violence and systemic inequities, experiences that inspired her lifelong dedication to social justice and community healing. She has since dedicated her career to advancing those values through social work, therapy, and community program development. As the Executive Director of EMBRACE, she guides the initiative’s strategic direction, oversees program implementation, and cultivates partnerships to deliver trauma-informed, community-based services. She also mentors staff, ensures data-driven evaluation, and advocates for equity-focused policies. Dr. K’s work channels her personal and professional commitment to transformative community impact.
