Zoom Meeting vs. Zoom Webinar

Zoom meetings are ideal for hosting more interactive sessions where you’ll want to have lots of audience participation.

The host has the ability to mute all participants.   Everyone is visible in the meeting window and everyone can speak.

Breakout Room are also available.

Webinars are ideal for large audiences or events that are open to the public. Typically, webinar attendees do not interact with one another.  Only panelists are visible to all participants and only panelists can speak during the Webinar.

Once the Webinar is in session, the host may promote any participant/attendee to a panelist and/or allow a participant to speak by unmuting.

Breakout Rooms are not available.
