Enterprise Applications

Ms. Faranetta is responsible for providing strategic direction, support, and oversight for the implementation and management of enterprise-wide administrative and academic applications. She began her tenure at the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2001, bringing with her more than a dozen years of experience in application development, project management, and consulting.

Diane provides leadership and fosters collaboration across the institution to support the University’s mission and priorities. She ensures that key administrative and academic systems are in place across a range of areas, including Financial Accounting, Planning and Budgeting, Human Capital Management, Research Administration, Student Information Management, Learning and Educational Systems, Philanthropy and Fundraising, and Electronic Document and Image Management.

For more than two decades, Diane has provided technology vision and strategic planning, regularly evaluating existing systems and staffing, exploring emerging technologies, and leading implementation efforts aligned with institutional initiatives.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in Information Technology Project Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
