About Lisa
I've been passionate about public safety since my undergraduate days, and I've been fortunate to work in this field throughout most of my professional career. One of my earliest roles was as a 9-1-1 dispatcher, which really opened my eyes to the critical importance of educating the public on emergency preparedness. I believe that being ready for all types of hazards starts at home, and I love that my work allows me to share vital information on how to stay safe, respond effectively during crises, and recover from disruptive events. Since joining CHHS in September 2021, right between the initial COVID-19 response and the Omicron wave, I quickly found myself immersed in distributing rapid test kits and KN-95 masks to residents, childcare centers, and nonprofits. It was a logistically demanding effort but incredibly rewarding to help protect my community during such uncertain times. What I truly love about working at CHHS is that it allows me to blend my interests in law, policy, and public service, knowing that the work we do has a real, positive impact on the communities we serve.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
When I’m not working, you can probably find me shuttling my kids to their various sporting activities. I may not know a lot about soccer, which one of my kids plays, but I volunteer as an official for their swim team, so I know all the rules about proper stroke technique. I also enjoy swimming myself with US Masters Swimming.
What’s the last book, show, or podcast you really enjoyed?
I love murder mysteries, both true crime and fiction, in any format, whether it’s a show, book, or podcast. Some of my recent favorites include Only Murders in the Building, The Thursday Murder Club series by Richard Osman, The God of the Woods by Liz Moore, and the Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith.
