Glenn Pearson

Glenn Pearson is a pianist, organist, music director, and leader of Washington’s acclaimed dance orchestra Floating Opera and the Glenn Pearson Swing Band, as well as a frequent pianist for the Cameron Strings Chamber Orchestra.

Equally comfortable in classical, jazz, pop, rock, and rhythm and blues, Pearson has performed at the White House, Library of Congress, Lincoln Memorial, Warner Theatre, Wolf Trap, National Theatre, Smithsonian American Art Museum, National Gallery of Art, National Portrait Gallery, National Air and Space Museum, and dozens of other public venues and private homes in the United States and abroad. He also is the pianist and assistant music director for the annual Helen Hayes Awards Show, which recognizes outstanding achievement in professional theater across the Washington, D.C., region.

His company, Glenn Pearson Productions, is a music and entertainment contracting business for D.C.- and Baltimore-area musicians and other entertainers. In addition to donating his time and talent to music and entertainment productions, he gives the same to numerous charitable and civic groups, including the National Kidney Foundation, Parkinson’s Foundation, Lisner-Louise-Dickson-Hurt Home, Martha’s Table, Children’s Hospital, and more.

In addition to his highly celebrated performances for international royalty, heads of state, and leaders of industry, Pearson has enjoyed many years of important service to North Chevy Chase (Md.) Christian Church as its principal organist and frequently provides instruction in piano and vocal coaching to a long list of Maryland, Baltimore, and D.C. music aficionados.

Pearson studied applied piano in the undergraduate and graduate divisions of the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore.
