Sr. Organizational Change Management Analyst
Administration and Finance
1. Please introduce yourself and describe your role at UMB.
As a Sr. Organizational Change Management Analyst in Administration & Finance/Change Management and Advisory Services (CMAS), I work with UMB leaders to support their teams through changes due to technology roll outs and other initiatives. I joined UMB in 2023 and have enjoyed working in the higher education sector after spending most of my career in international relief and development. I'm grateful to work at an organization that strives to improve the human condition. UMB has core values that align with my own, particularly respecting the inherent dignity of every person.
2. Why are you interested in serving on the Staff Senate?
I believe that serving the UMB community is an investment in making all of our work life more satisfying. I find great personal satisfaction in serving my community, whether in my neighborhood, my faith community, or place of work. Plus, it's fun to get to know and collaborate with colleagues across the University. In times of uncertainty and change, empathetic leadership is important. I seek to embody that steady presence--a calm in the storm.
3. What do you hope to accomplish during your term?
As an alternate last year, I enjoyed supporting the Staff Senate communications committee. I would like to do the same next year, particularly focusing on strengthening two-way communications with UMB staff. The Staff Senate is a great resource and I hope to promote it more in the coming year. Even more importantly, I'm ready to listen and facilitate sharing key messages with University leaders.
4. Describe your hobbies and interests outside of work.
I'm happy just being with my husband and Hashbrown Trouble Cat at home in our Baltimore rowhouse. I love cooking food from our little garden, volunteering at church, hiking and kayaking in national parks, reading books and watching clouds. And hanging out with friends and their kids, of course.
