1. Please introduce yourself and describe your role at UMB.
I'm Sabrina Coppage, Research Administrator from The Department of Pediatrics Research Administration office. I've been with the Pediatrics department for eight years managing the grant management cycle for pre and post awards.
2. Why are you interested in serving on the Staff Senate?
I'm interested in continuing the work I started on the staff senate in 2024 as alternate. And building on the relationships I've made to make a difference for the UMB community. While being a part of the solutions that benefit all personnel across the different schools, divisions and central offices at UMB.
3. What do you hope to accomplish during your term?
My goal will be to continue on the community engagement committee that works directly with the campus and community we serve. As well as being a part of the upcoming change or solutions that staff senate provides to upper management at UMB. We have a lot going on with future funding support at federal and state levels currently.
4. Describe your hobbies and interests outside of work.
I'm actively working on a healthy me. My hobbies currently include exercising and learning new eating habits to make better choices. And also incorporating traveling to new places and exploring the different cultures.
