The Office of Communications and Public Affairs' Photo and Video Team aims to tell the stories of the people of the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) and their tireless efforts to keep UMB at the forefront of higher education. Everyone at the University has a story to tell, from collaboration in the lab to civility on the streets, and every story deserves to be heard and seen.

How Photo and Video Projects Work
Before submitting a work request, invite Matthew “Dag” D’Agostino (mdagostino@umaryland.edu) via the Outlook Calendar. This step ensures the team is available and your date is reserved.
After confirming availability, complete the Photography and Videography Request Form. This gives us the details we need to plan your shoot.
All post-production (editing, toning, and file preparation) is included and billed as part of the total project time. Our visual services are billed transparently:

Photography/Videography: $100 per hour

Headshots: $25 per person (for groups under eight)

Drone Coverage: $160 per hour
Please allow 3 business days for us to prepare. Requests made with fewer than 3 business days’ notice will incur a rush fee to ensure we can meet your timeline.
If model release forms are required (usually for non-UMB participants and some advertising purposes), please have these forms filled out before the photo session and bring them to the session. We will scan the forms and include them with the photographs.
Standard turnaround time for image delivery is 10 business days. Immediate distribution of social media images can be provided for an added fee of $25.
Edited images or video files will be delivered digitally. Each project is different, and the final timeline depends on the scope and complexity of the work.
