MTA Commuter Pass

Purpose

Request a Maryland Transportation Authority (MTA) Commuter Pass.

Applicability

Facility, staff, and students at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) can gain access to a Monthly MTA or MARC pass for the following forms of transportation: Light rail, metro subway, MARC train and local bus system in commuter zones one through four (1-4).

MTA stickers are available to eligible full time faculty and staff of UMB.

Instructions

1. For the MTA sticker, visit the Alternative Transportation Website for instructions.
2. Students, visit the Alternative Transportation Website for instructions for apply for a MTA pass.

4. Complete Application for Commuter Benefit Program.
5. Submit a completed application to the Cashier’s Office at the SMC Campus Center, Lower Level, Room 002.
6. Complete payroll deduction card at Cashier’s Office.
   1. You must use payroll deduction to pay for the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) pass and MARC pass.
7. When applying for commuter pass for the MTA system, enrollee will need to enroll with the MTA Charm Mobile app. MARC system riders, the pass must be picked up monthly from the Cashier’s Office.
8. Any administrative issues can be directed to the Cashier’s Office.
