Michaiah Hughes, PA-C
Michaiah Hughes graduated from George Washington University's Physician Assistant program and has been a critical care physician assistant for nearly five years, with emphasis in trauma and surgical critical care. Currently she works full-time at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and PRN at Shock Trauma and Cooper University Hospital. Michaiah has precepted students and new hires, given lectures to APP fellows, and assisted with hands-on labs for PA students at UMB. She also co-authored a Trauma Surgery chapter for Fundamentals of Surgery for Physician Assistants (publication in progress).
Why PALLA?
My experience as a PA has been deeply impacted by my preceptors and I am eager to pass along the knowledge they've shared. I am joining the Preceptor Fellowship to learn evidence-based methods of training and empowering each unique student.
