The University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) is participating in Moderna’s pediatric COVID-19 vaccine trial. The vaccine has already received emergency use authorization for patients as young as 17, and trials for children between the ages of 12 and 17 have been underway for months. This new trial will include children ages 6 months to 11 years.
The UMSOM Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health (CVD) hopes to begin enrollment in the next few weeks. To be placed on a waiting list for enrollment, contact the CVD online (en español), or call the center at 410-706-7926 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. You may also text “CVD” to 52855.
