Policies and Procedures

When departing the University of Maryland, Baltimore, supervisors and employees must follow specific procedures based on the reason for separation. Whether the departure is due to the end of an appointment, resignation, retirement, or an involuntary separation, it is important to adhere to the applicable policies and timelines.

Each situation may be unique. Following the proper steps ensures accurate processing of final pay, benefits, and other important matters. For school or administrative unit-specific instructions, please contact your School or Unit HR liaison.
