Ivan Lamas-Sanchez serves as the Program Manager for Scholar Success for the UMB CURE Scholars Program.  

Born to Mexican parents in Los Angeles, California, Ivan grew up as the eldest of three children. Ivan went on to earn his bachelor's degree in Sociology and Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and master's degree in Higher Education from the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD).

In his role, Ivan develops 11th and 12th-grade scholar curriculum, supports seniors though the college application process, organizes college and career exposure and exploration opportunities for high school scholars, and supports academic support initiatives for all cohorts.
