Core Values Conversation
At the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), our core values are more than words — they are commitments we live every day. Our core values of Respect and Integrity, Well-Being and Sustainability, Equity and Justice, and Innovation and Discovery are at the heart of our mission to improve the human condition and serve the public good of Maryland and society at-large.
From now through the end of January 2026, we are spotlighting UMB’s Core Value of Well-Being and Sustainability — We care about the welfare of our people, planet, communities, and University — which reminds us that caring for ourselves and others is essential to creating a healthy, balanced, and enduring community. When we prioritize well-being, we build resilience; when we act with sustainability in mind, we ensure our shared success over time.
This is an opportunity to engage with this core value in an intentional way and share your insights with the UMB community.
