The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) campus is a vibrant setting for a fun, safe, and educational walking experience. The UMB Walking Tour showcases the University’s dedication to integrating a diverse range of artistic, sustainable, ecologically conscious, and historically significant buildings into its academic and social landscape.

The walking tour explores many artistic and cultural landmarks along with other fascinating sites, providing an opportunity to explore spaces at UMB.

Above is a suggested route featuring addresses for key stops and brief descriptions to guide your journey. Beginning at the northeast end of campus, you’ll make a complete loop. By foot, this path is approximately 3 miles and will take about an 45 minutes. 

Each stop will be color-coded to represent the following categories:

  • Sustainability/Ecology (Green)
  • History (Brown)
  • Art (Purple)

Please note that access to building interiors might vary depending on the day and time. Not all areas may be available for viewing. To enter buildings, you will need your UMB ID/One Card.
