Stop 2
This office space, located on the sixth floor and established in 2018, serves as a workspace and a showroom of innovative design concepts to inspire not only UMB but also the four other University System of Maryland schools it serves — Coppin State; the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; Towson University; and the University of Baltimore. The space incorporates a variety of sustainable flooring materials, including cork, bamboo, true linoleum, and concrete–showcasing environmentally friendly options. The office layout is carefully designed to maximize access to natural daylight while balancing privacy needs through thoughtful window placement. Notably, the space features UMB’s first living green wall, emphasizing the University’s commitment to sustainability. Additionally, dedicated color schemes are used strategically for wayfinding, enhancing navigation throughout the office.
