Next, visit the 1807 Arch Gallery, situated on the west side of the Pearl Street Garage adjacent to Arch Street along a winding paved pathway. This space features artwork from the third issue of 1807, published in autumn 2021, adding more vibrant art to the campus environment. The Arch Street Walkway (2017), adjacent to the art wall, includes hanging baskets with seasonal plants and a bird sanctuary. Notable details include the trees and rain garden elements along the parking zone to the west. Future plans include adding a clover pollinator garden.
Saratoga Green Space and ‘1807’ Pearl Gallery North
Adjacent to Pearl Gallery North is a green space that was established in 2016 to enhance the urban landscape. The park incorporates recycled trees, emphasizing sustainability and environmental responsibility. It serves as a welcoming green space for relaxation, social gatherings, and a connection to nature within the heart of the city.
Pearl Gallery North, established in 2025, is the latest contemporary art space on the north end of UMB’s campus, located on the north side of Pearl Garage. This spot showcases a diverse array of contemporary art from the fourth issue of 1807, enhancing the campus’ cultural landscape. Unlike the other nearby outdoor art galleries, this space features a grassy area as well as tables with seating.
