Thank you for your interest in launching an official University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) social media account. All accounts that represent UMB, whether in name, as a program, group, entity, etc., must be officially requested and approved by the Office of Communications and Public Affairs (OCPA).
OCPA will selectively consider requests for new accounts. Please consider contributing your content to an existing account within your department/division/school social accounts.
Accounts that have been created before receiving approval will receive advisories for complying with UMB branding and may be pulled down if they violate University social media policy.
In the case of an account denial, OCPA will work with the unit/organization to implement a social media strategy using existing UMB social media channels.
