Advancing PA Education in Maryland
PALLA is committed to student success and faculty excellence across Maryland’s PA programs. We are excited to ignite enthusiasm for the PA profession through our student-focused programs.
For students, we spark interest through PA 101 and support exam readiness with our PANCE Prep course, which helped more than 120 students in 2025. Our partnership with PrescriptedU adds personalized tutoring and coaching tailored to PA students’ needs.
For faculty, PALLA’s Academic Advising and Advocacy fellowships strengthen educators’ ability to guide and mentor. We’re also developing new initiatives—including a Mentor Match Program and a faculty coaching model—to expand support for professional growth and leadership.
Together, these efforts drive a stronger, more connected PA community across Maryland.
PA 101 Program
PALLA is committed to inspiring middle and high school students early in their academic journey by igniting curiosity in the Physician Assistant (PA) profession and encouraging exploration of the path to PA school. In collaboration, Drs. Kayingo and Felter present a video featuring a “A Day in the Life of a Physician Assistant” to help prospective students visualize the journey to becoming a PA in Maryland, highlighting key admissions requirements and offering guidance on building a strong, competitive application.

Fellowship Advising and Advocacy Programs
The fellowship programs at PALLA promote student success through dynamic advising and learner centered sessions. Our curriculum empowers faculty and clinical educators with proven frameworks to help PA students reach their highest potential. Programming explores proactive and appreciative advising models, emphasizing a holistic, student-centered approach that values each learner’s strengths, goals, and experiences. Fellows are also introduced to the GROW coaching model, a longitudinal framework designed to guide ongoing student development and achievement throughout their academic journey. In addition, we encourage fellows to become institutional advocates for student success by championing inclusive, supportive, and data-informed models across the PA education landscape.
