• P-TECH School at Dunbar High School

The P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High) school is a six-year high school program, featuring integrated high school and college coursework, leading to an industry-recognized postsecondary degree in a health care field (physical therapy, nursing, health information technology, respiratory care) for all students. UMB partners with the P-TECH school to provide mentors and campus-based learning opportunities in health care for participating students.

  • UMB Speakers Bureau

UMB encourages faculty, staff, and student engagement in K-12 partner schools in its neighboring community. As the state of Maryland's only public academic health and law center, one way of easily engaging our campus community in the lives of the youth is by exposing local youth to careers in health care, law, and human service. To this end, the UMB Office of Community Engagement is creating a K-12 Career Speakers Bureau.
