Known Issues:

  • The Duo "Remember me" feature does not work in Safari on Mac Mojave (macOS 10.14).
  • There is a known issue in Safari 13.0.3 where the "Remember me" option cannot be selected.

Environment

  • Duo
  • macOS
  • Safari

Cause/Explanation

Duo is aware of these issues and working on a fix scheduled to be released in early December 2019.

Temporary Work-around

Remember me for Safari 13.0.3 was fixed in the D180 release.

Safari has since been updated to 13.0.4 and unfortunately this has broken the Remember Me functionality again with the new Cross-Site tracking functionality.

Remember me bug in Safari 13.0.4.
Some customers have reported that they need to disable cross-site tracking as well to allow third-party cookies, but the cross-site tracking option seems to be buggy in Safari 13.0.4 and seems to not apply properly.

This has been resolved in some instances by toggling the setting on and off in the affected website session at Safari > Preferences > Privacy > "Prevent cross-site tracking".
