* Federal reporting definitions allow flexibility in assigning attendance status for graduate students involved in thesis or dissertation preparation. Through Spring 2009, a unit based status determination system was used for Graduate School programs.  Each credit was assigned a weight of 6 units, with the exception of course 799, which was assigned a weight of 12 units, and course 899, which was assigned a weight of 18 units. Graduate School students must of had a minimum of 54 units, equivalent to 9 credits for students not enrolled in course 799 or 899, to be considered full-time.

NOTE: The change in degree categories and designations reflect the 2008-09 Federal IPEDS elimination of the first-professional degree category.
